The Massachusetts Law Reform Institute, CORI Project has created a very helpful CORI Reader.

The CORI Reader is intended to be a useful and understandable — but abbreviated and short -explanation of the law, structure, policies and practices relating to criminal records in Massachusetts. The main Massachusetts statute uses the term “criminal offender record information,” which most people refer to by its acronym, “CORI.”

The CORI Reader also includes sample documents and forms that you might encounter in handling a typical CORI problem.
